R&B Food Supply Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries are driving the transition to clean energy by leveraging solar power, one of the most vital renewable energy sources. In 2023, the group moved forward with the installation of Solar Rooftop systems at three of its Thai subsidiaries: R&B Food Supply Public Company Limited (Branch 5) located in the Hi-Tech Industrial Estate, Ayutthaya. Thai Flavour and Fragrance Co., Ltd. also in the Hi-Tech Industrial Estate, Ayutthaya. and Premium Foods Co., Ltd. located in San Sai District, Chiang Mai.
The Solar Rooftop project is an integral part of the initiative to promote renewable energy, reflecting the commitment of the company and its subsidiaries to Circular Economy principles. Beyond reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the proportion of renewable energy usage, this initiative also lowers manufacturing costs through clean energy production. This project marks a significant step toward achieving the company’s Carbon Neutrality goals.
Currently, R&B Food Supply PCL (Branch 5) has a power generation capacity of 0.70 MW, while Thai Flavour and Fragrance Co., Ltd. has a capacity of 0.14 MW. These installations are projected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 13,234.96 and 3,225.96 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e), respectively, over the next 25 years. Additionally, Premium Foods Co., Ltd. operates with a capacity of 1.3 MW and was registered under the Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (Standard T-VER) in March 2023. This project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 805 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.
Driven by a commitment to environmental, economic, and social stability, the company and its subsidiaries have integrated Circular Economy principles into various initiatives—most notably through the use of solar energy as a key source of clean, renewable power. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand solar power projects to its headquarters and other subsidiaries to drive sustainable business growth. โครงการระบบผลิตไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์บนหลังคาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในแนวทางส่งเสริมการใช้พลังงานทดแทน ซึ่งบริษัทและบริษัทในเครือให้ความสำคัญกับหลักการเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน (Circular Economy) นอกจากจะช่วยลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก เพิ่มสัดส่วนการใช้พลังงานทดแทน ยังเป็นการลดต้นทุนการผลิตด้วยการผลิตไฟฟ้าจากพลังงานสะอาด เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการบรรลุเป้าหมายความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอนของบริษัท
ในปัจจุบัน บริษัท อาร์ แอนด์ บี ฟู้ด ซัพพลาย จำกัด (มหาชน) สาขา 5 มีกำลังการผลิตไฟฟ้า 0.70 เมกะวัตต์ บริษัท ไทย เฟลเวอร์ แอนด์ แฟรกแร็นซ์ จำกัด มีกำลังการผลิตไฟฟ้า 0.14 เมกะวัตต์ คาดว่าจะสามารถลดปริมาณการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ ได้ประมาณ 234.96 และ 3,225.96 ตันคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่า ในอีก 25 ปีข้างหน้า[1] และบริษัท พรีเมี่ยมฟู้ดส์ จำกัด มีกำลังการผลิตไฟฟ้า 1.3 เมกะวัตต์ ซึ่งได้ขึ้นทะเบียนโครงการลดก๊าซเรือนกระจกภาคสมัครใจตามมาตรฐานของประเทศไทยแบบมาตรฐาน (Standard T-VER) เมื่อเดือนมีนาคม 2023 ที่ผ่านมา มีปริมาณก๊าซเรือนกระจกที่คาดว่าจะลดได้ 805 ตันคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เทียบเท่าต่อปี
จากความมุ่งมั่นของบริษัทและบริษัทในเครือเพื่อให้เกิดความมั่นคงด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ตลอดจนเศรษฐกิจและสังคมนั้น บริษัทได้นำหลักการเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน (Circular Economy) มาใช้ในโครงการต่างๆ โดยเฉพาะการใช้พลังงานหมุนเวียนในการผลิตพลังงานไฟฟ้าจากพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ซึ่งถือเป็นพลังงานสะอาด ที่สำคัญบริษัทมีแผนงานที่จะขยายโครงการผลิตไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ไปยังสำนักงานใหญ่และบริษัทในเครือในอนาคต ถือเป็นการขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินธุรกิจให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนตามวิสัยทัศน์ของบริษัท "มุ่งมั่นสู่การเป็นผู้นำในการผลิตวัตถุดิบสำหรับใช้ในอุตสาหกรรมอาหารในระดับสากล ภายใต้การดำเนินธุรกิจด้วยหลักธรรมาภิบาลที่รับผิดชอบต่อสังคม สิ่งแวดล้อม และความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน เพื่อสร้างคุณค่าให้กิจการอย่างยั่งยืน"
